These are two games played in a variety of states. Sometimes they are called other names like Pick 3 and Pick 4, Daily 3 and Daily 4, or Lucky 3 and Lucky 4. The three digit game consist of choosing a number between 000 and 999. The four digit game consist of choosing a number between 0000 and 9999.
Cash Pop is a game offered by a select few states that allow you to choose a number between 1 and 15 for a chance to win random prizes that are printed off at the point of purchase. Prize amounts vary depending on the dollar amount ticket you purchase. For example, Mississippi offers a $1, $2, $5, and $10 bet. Prizes start at 5x's the bet as a minimum and go as high as 250x's your bet amount.
Mirror digits are when you have two numbers that can be played as one another. When it comes the lottery and the lottery math, there really are only five digits that you are working with. The other five are mirrored or played as one another.
When you see the digit on the left, you must understand that it could also be played as the digit on the right. Also, the digit on the right can be played as the digit on the left. The mirror chart is as follows:
0/5
1/6
2/7
3/8
4/9
If you are looking at a workout, grid, or other lottery related material you can always keep this chart available. You will need to remember that if you see a number like 123, it can also be mirrored in the following ways.
123, 128, 173, 178, 623, 628, 673, 678
A mirror pair is where two of your three or four digits (depending which game you are playing, cash 3 or cash 4) are paired sets of numbers that mirror one another.
Examples of mirror paired digits are as follows:
05 is a mirror pair, so are 16, 27, 38, 49
They can be in any order.
A flip digit is when you take a number and flip it by adding three to it.
You take the number or digit that you have, for example, 4. To flip it, you add three, therefore, making it 7. Personally, this is not a method that I use very often other than to create workouts. Otherwise, I believe if you use it to create new numbers to guess at, for a drawing, you aren't really eliminating any options. Instead, you are creating more possibilities.
The chart for FLIP DIGITS are as follows:
1 becomes 4
2 becomes 5
3 becomes 6
4 becomes 7
5 becomes 8
6 becomes 9
7 becomes 0
8 becomes 1
9 becomes 2
A reversed flip digit is when you take a number and flip it backwards by subtracting three.
You take the number or digit that you have, for example, 4. To reverse flip it, you subtract three, therefore, making it 1. Personally, this is not a method that I use very often other than to create workouts. Otherwise, I believe if you use it to create new numbers to guess at, for a drawing, you aren't really eliminating any options. Instead, you are creating more possibilities.
The chart for REVERSED FLIP DIGITS are as follows:
1 becomes 8
2 becomes 9
3 becomes 0
4 becomes 1
5 becomes 2
6 becomes 3
7 becomes 4
8 becomes 5
9 becomes 6
A rolling digit is when a number from the most recent draw replays as itself, or as it's mirror form. It rolls from one drawing to the next. When it comes to cash 3 we usually find one digit rolls each drawing more times than not. When it comes to cash 4 typically we see two digits roll more times than not.
A cold digit is a single digit from all of your previous drawings that has not played in the longest period of time. For example:
Digit: How many draws since it last played
1: 2 draws
2: 1 draws
3: 15 draws
4: 5 draws
5: 9 draws
6: 2 draws
7: 1 draws
8: 4 draws
9: 5 draws
Notice how it has been 15 draws since the 3 had dropped, but less time since the other digits? The 3 would be the "coldest digit". Furthermore, 5 would be considered your second "coldest digit".
Triples are numbers that have three like digits. For example, 222 is considered a triple. When it comes to a false triple, you have 2 like mirror forms with all three digits essentially being the same number. For example, 272 (can be in any order), and 727 (also can be in any order). It's two like digits with a mirror digit.
Quads are numbers that have four like digits. For example, 2222 is considered a quad. When it comes to a false quad, you have 3 like mirror forms with all four digits essentially being the same number. For example, 2227 (can be in any order), and 7772 (also can be in any order). It's three like digits with a mirror digit.
Workouts are a pattern of numbers based on adding and/or subtracting to mimic the algorithm that the lottery uses. They are designed to help eliminate numbers that aren't in a specific sequence and are incapable of hitting. Grids generally work the same way. Usually, there is a date sum highlighted to indicate your start point.
In the workouts found on this site, the next hit will either have one of the digits touch a highlighted date sum, or include it.
A date sum is what you highlight on your workouts in order to obtain a start point for finding your next hit.
In order to get the date sum, you simply add the month and day of the drawing you are looking for. When you do this one of two things will happen. One, you may add your month and day and get a single digit. Second, you may add and get a two digit number. If you do, you use only the digit on the right hand side of the two digits produced, to count as your date sum.
Two examples.
October 31 would be added like this, 10+31= 41
Your date sum would be a 1, because you only use the digit on the right.
January 3rd would be added like this, 1+3= 4
Your date sum would be 4.
Grab your ticket, take it to a local store that sells lottery tickets, and scan the barcode on the scanner that is set up at the store. If you do not have a scanner, ask the cashier to scan it for a win. This is the most accurate way of knowing. Never trust someone else to tell you, they might be unaware of which drawing the ticket was for or other factors that might involve the ticket being a winner.
The drawings for the Mega Millions are Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. eastern time.
Drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. eastern time.
